Crops for Care Program

Would YOU consider making a donation of your commodity to assist an older adult remain in the rural Cass County home they love and cherish?

Community of Care's mission is "caring for people by partnering with rural communities."  We are able to assist rural Cass County residents because of the support of local residents, organizations and businesses.

One of the ways local farmers support our mission is through the donation of commodities to our "Crops for Care" program. Dave Piper from Piper Tax shared an explanation of the program in our summer 2022 newsletter.  To learn about the tax benefits of a Crops for Care donation, click here (you will find the article on page 2 of the summer 2022 newsletter).

If you are willing to donate to the "Crops for Care" program, talk to your local elevator.  We accept commodity donations of any crop and any number of bushels at any time throughout the year.  YOUR gift may have tax implications for you and it WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of a family member or friend in rural Cass County?

Please download this form and present to your elevator to make a commodity donation. If you have a lien on your crop, your lender will need to sign the form.
